What courses do we offer?

1. General Slovak courses

Levels A1, A2, B1 and B2

130 €

We offer courses for complete beginners as well as more advanced learners. During the lessons, we develop vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and communication skills.

We also use the popular Krížom-krážom textbook in our classes.

2. Slovak for Work

180 €

We created the Slovak for Work course based on our many years of experience supporting people from abroad in finding employment and navigating the Slovak labour market.

We use Mareena’s own textbook and teaching methodology.

The course prepares you for situations you may encounter in a Slovak-speaking workplace. You will learn, for example, how to prepare a CV, communicate during a job interview, understand everyday workplace communication and speak with colleagues, managers or customers.

We will help you use Slovak at work with greater confidence.

3. Conversation courses

130 €

Would you mainly like to speak Slovak as much as possible and feel more confident when communicating?

Our conversation courses focus primarily on actively using the language, expanding your vocabulary and discussing topics from everyday life.

How do we create our groups?

For some courses, we open separate groups for speakers of Slavic languages and for speakers of other languages.

This allows us to better adapt the pace and teaching methods to participants’ linguistic backgrounds and experience.

How do the courses work?

Each course includes 24 lessons over 12 weeks. Classes take place twice a week for either 60 or 90 minutes.

We offer courses in three periods – trimesters:

• Winter trimester: January – March
• Spring trimester: April – June
• Autumn trimester: September – December

Cancellation policy

We understand that plans can change, so we try to be as flexible as possible. If you are unable to attend the course after registering, the following conditions apply:

Cancellation before the course starts

• If you let us know at least 5 working days before the course starts, we will refund 100% of the amount paid.
• If you cancel less than 5 days before the course starts, we will refund 50% of the course fee.

Cancellation after the course starts

• Once the course has started, the course fee is non-refundable, as your place in the group has been reserved and the course is already underway.
• However, if you experience exceptional life circumstances (e.g. health reasons or relocation), please contact us – we will always try to find a solution.

Cancellation or schedule changes by Mareena

• If we have to cancel a course for organisational reasons, we will offer an alternative date or refund 100% of the amount paid.
• If the course schedule changes, you can accept the new date or request a full refund.
