The new trimester of Slovak language courses starts in April 2026. Below you will find the courses that we definitely plan to open. If any of the courses suit you, the registration link is included in the course description. A course is opened provided that at least 7 participants register.

Course description:
This course is designed for foreigners who want to improve their communication in a work environment. It is suitable both for people who are already working in Slovakia and want to communicate more professionally, and for those who want to prepare for working in Slovak in the future. We focus on practical workplace situations – communication at work, emails, job interviews, and teamwork. The course is based on a textbook developed by Mareena specifically for working life in Slovakia.
Dates: April – June 2026 (starting the week of April 13)
Schedule: ONLINE – Tuesday & Thursday (17:00–18:30);
Duration: 36 hours (2 × 90 minutes per week)

Course description: This beginner Slovak course is intended for students starting from scratch. The course follows the Krížom krážom A1 textbook and focuses on practical communication.

Course description: This course is for students with basic Slovak knowledge from a Slavic language background who want to strengthen their foundations and gradually move to a higher level.

Course description: This course is for students who already have basic knowledge of Slovak and want to strengthen and expand it. The course starts from Chapter 3 of the Krížom krážom A1 textbook.

Course description: The B1 course is designed for students who want to improve their fluency in Slovak and communicate more confidently in everyday situations. The course follows the Krížom krážom B1 textbook.

Course description: This course is for advanced students who want to improve fluency and accuracy in communication. The course starts from Chapter 6 of the Krížom krážom B2 textbook.

Cancellation policy
We understand that plans may change and therefore aim to be as accommodating as possible.
Cancellation before the course starts
If you inform us no later than 5 working days before the course start, we refund 100% of the paid amount.
If you cancel less than 5 days before the course starts, we refund 50% of the course fee.
Cancellation after the course has started
Once the course has started, course fees are non-refundable, as the place in the group is reserved and the course runs as planned.
However, in case of exceptional life circumstances (e.g. health issues, relocation), please contact us — we will always try to find a solution.
Course cancellation or schedule changes by Mareena
If we have to cancel a course for organizational reasons, we will offer an alternative date or refund 100% of the paid amount.
In case of schedule changes, you may choose to accept the new dates or request a full refund.

Textbooks and borrowing
Textbooks required for Slovak courses can be borrowed from us. Upon borrowing a textbook, a €25 deposit is required. The deposit will be fully refunded if the textbook is returned by the agreed date, in condition corresponding to normal wear and tear, and together with the original receipt confirming the deposit payment.
If a student does not continue in the course, the textbook must be returned no later than 30 days after the end of the course. The exact return date can be arranged by email.
If the textbook is not returned on time or in adequate condition, the deposit becomes non-refundable and will be used as a donation to Mareena o.z. to support educational activities.
