EduMentors4U project

The project „EDUMENTORS4U – Supporting the educational integration of Ukrainian refugees into their new learning environments in Europe” began in October 2024 and will run until September 2026.

It involves four organizations: Internationaler Bund Germany, INFODEF from Spain, Internationaler Bund Polska from Poland and Mareena from Slovakia. All of them have experience of working with people who fled war-torn Ukraine after February 24, 2022, seeking refuge in other countries.

EDUMENTORS4U project aims to provide appropriate and tailored support to grassroot professionals and volunteers and people who are assisting Ukrainian refugees on the ground, empowering them with the necessary resources and tailored practical tools to facilitate the educational integration of Ukrainian refugees into their new learning environments in Europe.

Ukrainian refugees need to count with specific help and guidance to make informed decisions towards education, lifelong learning and career opportunities, to count with a mentor able to understand their capabilities and interests and guide them accordingly.

Expected project results

Expected project results (PR) are:

  • Capacity Building Curriculum, to facilitate and increase the transferability and recognition of the Learning.
  • Training Guidelines on mentoring Ukrainian refugees, to provide a comprehensive basis for the implementation of training activities.
  • e-Library of Resources on edu-mentoring Ukrainian refugees, to provide a useful online tool that contains information about good practices, relevant resources (documents, articles, videos etc.) and other support materials.
  • e-Library of Activities, a practical digital tools which help increase awareness and engagement in education to Ukrainian refugees.
  • Guidelines and Recommendations, to encourage and facilitate the further use of the project results and products.

Holistic model

The project will apply a holistic model for the educational integration of refugee students, taking into account three areas: (a) Learning needs; (b) Social needs; and (c) Emotional needs.


Languages

All materials created by the project partners will be translated into 5 languages: English, Spanish, German, Polish and Slovak to make them more avalaible to educators, mentors and refugees as well as stakeholders.
